Who is responsible

Dongguan Hongcheng Polymer Material Technology Co., Ltd., trading for export as Hongsole, of Building A, No. 90, Haomai Road, Nancheng Village, Daojiao Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, China. What the enquiry form collects

The form on thecontact page asks for your name, work email, company and sole type, the annual volume band, and optionally your country and a free-text description of the project. Nothing else is read from the submission.

Three fields on the form are hidden. One is a honeypot that a person never sees and never fills, used only to discard automated spam. The other two record which page of this site you arrived on and which site you followed a link from, so that we know which of our guides brought your enquiry to us. Both travel with the enquiry to the same mailbox and go nowhere else; neither identifies you, and both are simply absent if your browser blocks the storage they are read from.

If you email or call us instead, we hold whatever you chose to send, including drawings, 3D files and specifications, which we treat as your confidential technical property and do not show to other customers.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

To answer your enquiry: to recommend a material, plan tooling and issue a quotation, and to carry on the correspondence that follows. Under UK and EU GDPR that is either steps taken at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry addressed to us.

We do not sell or rent enquiry data, do not add you to a marketing list, do not send newsletters, and do not use it to profile or advertise to you. If you want us to stop contacting you about a live enquiry, say so in a reply and we will.

Who else processes it

The form posts to a function on this domain. No third-party form service sits in front of it and no external script sees what you type. That function passes the message to Resend, an email delivery provider, which relays it to our sales mailbox and holds it only in transit.

Before the function accepts an enquiry it checks aCloudflare Turnstile challenge, which exists to keep automated submissions out of the mailbox an engineer reads. The challenge runs in a frame served by Cloudflare and is the one part of this page loaded from another address. It is not given your name, your email or anything you typed: it hands us a pass token, and the function checks that token and nothing else. Cloudflare states that it does not use Turnstile to build an advertising profile.

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As host, Cloudflare processes the request itself, including your IP address, to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse, under its own terms.

Both are outside China; our mailbox is in China, so an enquiry sent from the United Kingdom, the European Union or Canada is transferred internationally to reach the engineer who answers it. That transfer is the enquiry: there is no way to quote your sole from a factory you have chosen to contact without the message reaching that factory.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, loads no advertising or social pixel, and fetches no third-party fonts. Every image and style comes from this domain.

The one exception is the contact page, where the Turnstile challenge described above runs. It may keep a short-lived value in your browser so that a challenge you have already passed is not put to you twice. That value is a security measure rather than an analytics one: it identifies a passed check, not you.

We do count visits, using Counterscale, open-source software we run ourselves on analytics.hongsole.com, not a hosted service. It records the page, the site you came from, and the broad type of browser and country, and it aggregates those into totals. It sets no cookie, writes nothing to your device, and assigns you no identifier, so it cannot follow you between visits or to any other site. Nothing it collects reaches a third party, because there is no third party in it. That is why you have not been shown a consent banner: consent is owed for storing things on your device, and this stores nothing.

The contact page uses your browser's session storage for two things: to keep a half-finished enquiry through a refresh, and to remember which page you arrived on. Both are held in your own browser, are readable only by this site, and are discarded when you close the tab. Neither is a cookie and neither leaves your machine except as part of an enquiry you choose to send.

Cloudflare may set its own cookies for security and load balancing as part of hosting the site. Those are set by the host rather than by us.

How long we keep it

An enquiry stays in our sales correspondence while it is live and in the mail archive afterwards, because a sole programme that goes quiet for a season and comes back needs the original brief. Where the enquiry became an order, the records that go with it are kept as long as accounting and customs rules require. Ask us to delete an enquiry that went nowhere and we will delete it.

Your rights

If UK or EU data protection law applies to you, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to our relying on legitimate interest. Emailsales@hongsole.com with the address you used and we will act within one month. You can also complain to your national supervisory authority; in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office.

We do not knowingly collect anything from children; this is a business site for footwear buyers.

Changes

We update this page when what the site does changes, not on a schedule. Last updated 12 August 2026.
